it is very important for you to check out this board as one of the first things you do here on this site. this board holds the rules, plot, and also any other important information we choose to add.
is there something on the site that you don't quite understand? post your question here, and an admin or a helpful member will be sure to get back to you. suggestions on how to make the site better can also be made here. guest friendly, this board is.
often an update will be made to the site that the admins need to let the other members know about. all of those announcements will be posted here. be sure to check this board often!
here on hwdmp, we require that you fill out an application for your character. don't worry, it's not that bad. it's also really helpful in getting to know your character better.
once your character is accepted, his or her app will be moved here. it's all organized by band, so it should be very easy to find your application if you ever need it again.
let's face it, not many people deal with those pretty relationship plots anymore. instead, they prefer to keep everything straight in a sub plot. post yours here.
so, you have an awesome plot in mind for your character? and now all you need is the other character to complete it. if you need someone to make that charrie, post an ad here. these should be checked out before making a new character as well.
you will hardly see a person over the age of fourteen without a cell phone nowadays. people are always texting or even taking pictures with their phones.
instant messaging is continuing to become even more popular. it's so much easier to just send someone an im rather than go out and meet him or her somewhere, obviously. also faster than texting, and very convenient.
the administration office is going to be the first place you come when you enter the school. basically like any other main office, they keep all your records here and are always willing to help you with whatever you need.
at st. maria's, you aren't required to live in the dorms, but many students prefer to live on campus, at least for the first year or two. these buildings are all co-ed.
though many students prefer to go out to eat for meals, it's definitely true that it's a lot cheaper to buy your food in the cafeteria. it really isn't all that bad, either.
an extensive library awaits the fingertips of all students entering st. maria's college of the fine arts. this massive collection of books has everything you could ever want to read about, and they don't all just focus on the arts. don't want to subscribe to a magazine? stop in and read the latest issue here. this library has everything.
as with other general classes, students are also required to get a certain number of credits in physical education. it's not all horrible, however: the school offers a vast variety of classes, from swimming and rugby to bowling and jogging. there's bound to be a gym class to interest you.
whether you like it or not, you're bound to need some credits in the science area to be able to graduate to st. maria's. hopefully you can find an area of science that interests you.
taking any courses in math or history? whether they're just requirements for your major or you're truly interested in the subjects, any classes in the two areas take place here.
know those big lecture halls that people always associate with college? where they teach classes like english, math, sometimes even history? your big lecture classes can be found here.
many students at the college choose to study art. the art classes offered here include drawing, sketching, painting, sculpting, pottery, and almost anything you can imagine, even art history and theory classes.
it's amazing, the number of students that come to the school for dance each year. almost any dance class imaginable is offered here, including ballroom, hip hop, classical, theory, history ... everything.
one area in particular seems to get more and more popular each year, and that is the drama department. it seems that there are many young aspiring actors and actresses in the world, and the ones at st. maria's are headed in the right direction.
constantly changing, fashion has been one area that has consistently intrigued females for years and certainly will to come. st. maria's is known to be a great place to study fashion.
any form of public transportation in chicago, excluding taxis, is run by the cta, or the chicago transit authority. taking a train, city bus, or subway? this is how you get anywhere.
michigan avenue, the magnificent mile. home to high-end designers and boutiques like nine west, tiffany's, and burberry. not many can afford the shops on this stretch but many love to pretend.
a trip to chicago isn't complete without stopping at the willis tower, formerly known as the sears tower. a trip to the skydeck earns you a spectacular view of the entire city. are you brave enough to face the glass box?
admit it: everyone has a soft spot for zoos in their heart. well, here in chicago you can find a zoo to meet all your exotic animal needs. the lincoln park zoo is definitely one of the best zoos around.
who goes to the skate park when you have a roller blading rink right in town? a great place to have a fun date, the rollerdome is for those who love skating but aren't quite as ... talented yet.
popular among college students, excalibur nightclub and bar is where you can let loose and get down and dirty, and no one will care. featuring two for one drinks on thirsty thursdays, you can't not stop here when you're looking for fun.
taking a significant other out for a nice dinner? home to many fine restaurants, chicago has the perfect place for you. try seasons, everest, or avenues. whatever food you're looking for, you can find it here.
a popular tourist attraction, the shedd aquarium is one stop that almost every chicago citizen makes at least once in his or her lifetime. stop by and see the fishies.
lucky — or rich — enough to get tickets to a bears game? the famous soldier field is home to all home games of the chicago bears. hopefully the game is a good one!
everyone, it seems, when they think of chicago, think of the bean. well, this as well as many other large forms of interactive art can be found in the famous millenium park.
the oriental, cadillac palace, broadway playhouse... just a few great theatre choices in chicago, the options are endless. whether catching a broadway show or otherwise, chicago is a wonderful city for theatre.
similar to millenium park is how people tend to associate chicago with the famous navy pier. stop by this tourist spot for restaurants, shopping, and other fun attractions like the ferris wheel.
chicago is known for inventing the deep dish pizza. this great midwestern delicacy can be found in many great restaurants around the city, but giordano's stuffed pizza is known to be the best.
the citizens of chicago have to live somewhere, after all. there are also plenty of college students who rent an apartment, rather than stay in the dorms. but either way, all houses, apartments, condos, etc. are located here.
chicago may be great and all, but there's a lot more to the world than one city. traveling up to milwaukee? going overseas? this is the place to do just that.
the staff room. the place where the admins talk about anything and everything. usually stuff related to the site, but who's to say we always follow that rule?
it's sad, but every good rp must come to an end. well, realistically they should. in the roleplay world you could go on for days, but okay, most don't. all dead/finished threads will be moved here. pm an admin to get a thread moved out of here.
we all know these sites are for roleplaying, but let's face it, the games you can find on these places are pretty damn fun. here's the board where all games will be played, whether ic or ooc. join in on the fun!
though it's tragic, everybody has to leave some time or another. if you're going to be gone for maybe, say, three days or more, post here to let everyone know. that way we won't get worried and go all spaz ninja on your ass.
everybody advertises to get new members. it's the easiest way to get your site noticed. post your ad here. be sure that when you do, your ad has a link to your site and a place for us to link back without making an account. proboards and invision free only please! it's all guest friendly here.
